Copacabana Apartments

Copacabana is a neighbourhood situated in the south of Rio de Janeiro, spanning the area from Princesa Isabel Avenue to Posto Seis. On top of the list of the most visited districts of Rio de Janeiro, it is a toursit destination especially famous for its beach, that has a wide appeal on people from all over the world. It is also known for the sparkling New Year's Eve celebrations and for being the official venue of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.

The reason why Copacabana apartments are so much sought-after by tourists is that they occupy a central, privileged position in the city. The district has three major streets called Atlantic Avenue, Nossa Senhora de Copacabana Avenue and Barata Ribeiro/Raul Pompéia Street, where most of our luxury accommodations are located. Copacabana beach stretches from Posto Dois to Posto Seis. The first end is limited by lifeguard watchtower 2, located near the Fort Duque de Caxias, while at the other end there is lifeguard watchtower 6, also known as "Bombeiros", near the Fort Copacabana. The district is very well served by public transport, with more than 40 different bus routes and 3 subway stations: Cardeal Arcoverde, Siquera Campos and Cantagalo.

What really distinguishes Copacabana from ordinary districts, is the vitality of both locals and tourists, that is reflected in the many activities and events taking place in the area. The parades of samba schools on the promenade, the beach soccer and volleyball plays, the concerts of famous singers are just some examples of this kind.

In addition, there are kiosks overlooking the beach and open 24hours. Here you can get a Brazilian coconut water or a chop (glass of beer), listen to music, or see along the sidewalk artists of various kinds. There are many restaurants, also called churrascheria for tourists and prices can be a bit high, but food is great. If you want to do some shopping you can go to Nossa Senhora de Copacabana Avenue.
